Kansas City Mavericks News Release

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Goalie Adam Carlson has been reassigned by the NHL's Washington Capitals to join AHL Hershey, announced Thursday by the AHL club.

Carlson has been lights out lately for the Mavericks, helping the team earn at least one point in each of his last seven starts. In that span, Carlson registered his first shutout of the season and stopped 182 of 195 shots faced for a .933 Save Percentage and a 1.82 Goals Against Average.

The Edina, Minnesota native now owns a 2.56 GAA and .905 SVP in the ECHL this season with a 6-3-3-1 record.

This will be Carlson's second stint with Hershey on the year, starting the season with Hershey and playing in four games, earning a 2-2-0-0 record with a 3.03 GAA and .903 SVP.

Carlson is the fourth Maverick goalie to reach the AHL this season, joining Tyler Parsons and Mason McDonald (Stockton Heat) and Chris Nell (Hartford Wolf Pack).

The Mavericks begin a four-game road stretch with a Friday-Saturday double header at Allen and will next play at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on Monday, April 2 against the Tulsa Oilers - a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
