WORCESTER, MA- The Worcester IceCats earned a point in a 4-4 tie with the Providence Bruins Saturday night at Worcester's Centrum Centre.

Providence goaltender Tim Thomas weathered a first-period storm in which the IceCats fired 16 shots. Three of those ended up in the back of the net as Mike Glumac, Blake Evans and Aaron MacKenzie combined to give Worcester a 3-2 lead. Providence actually lead twice in the opening 20 minutes on goals by Zdenek Kutlak (1-0) and Carl Corrazini (2-1).

Worcester's Sergei Varlamov made it a 4-2 game and extended his goals-streak to three games at 4:09 of the second. The ‘Cats appeared on their way to the win, but the Bruins edged their way back.

Former Boston Bruin Ted Donato put the B's within a goal on a shorthanded tally at 10:57 and ended goalie Curtis Sanford's night (7 saves on 10 shots). Reinhard Divis came in and made 13 saves on 14 shots. Corrazini notched his second goal of the night 5:21 into the third to even the score at 4-4.

A 42-save performance by Thomas, his second such game against the ‘Cats this season, backboned the point for his club.
