Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs (4-2-0) didn't let last nights' loss to the Florida Everblades (4-4-0) get them down, coming away with a 4-1 victory tonight and another outstanding performance by goalie Chris Madden.

The Everblades shot 46 times, converting only once at the end of the second period. It was the second straight game Madden has made 40 or more saves, bringing his weekend total to 85. The Ice Dogs had 29 shots for the game.

Long Beach led 2-0 after the first period, with goals from Trevor Read and Cory Urquhart, who scored his first professional goal. Urquhart would get another, an empty net goal, with 18 seconds remaining in the game to seal the win. Marco Rosa also scored in the third, his team leading 4th of the season. The Ice Dogs converted both power play opportunities they had, while stopping Florida on both of theirs.

The Ice Dogs play again on Wednesday, November 10, in their first ever game versus the Victoria Salmon Kings. Great seats are still available in all sections. For more information call (562) ICE DOGS or visit www.icedogs.com.
