The Winnipeg ICE completed a four game regular season series sweep of the Red Deer Rebels with a 2-1 victory Friday night at Peavey Mart Centrium.

Zack Ostapchuk gave the ICE a 1-0 lead through 20 minutes. Jace Isley tied the game 11 seconds into the second period. Matthew Savoie scored the game winning goal at 4:38 of the final frame from Zach Benson and Conor Geekie.

Savoie's goal extended his point streak to nine games (nine goals and five assists for 14 points). Benson's assist extended his point streak to eight games (three goals and 11 assists).

Winnipeg outshot Red Deer 31-30. Goaltender Daniel Hauser earned the victory while Kyle Kelsey suffered the loss.

The ICE were 0/4 on the power play. Red Deer went 0/5.

Winnipeg continues their 10-game road trip Sunday afternoon in Edmonton (4:30 on CFRW 1290 AM / 5:00 on WHL Live via CHL TV).
