Hurricanes Reassign Tim Conboy To Albany

RALEIGH, NC-Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned defenseman/wing Tim Conboy to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Conboy, 28, was recalled to the Hurricanes on Thursday and played 6:08 of ice time in Carolina's 5-2 win against Montreal. The Minneapolis, MN, native played in 11 games with the Hurricanes this season before being assigned to Albany on November 18th. In 35 games with the River Rats this season, he has earned three assists and totaled 62 penalty minutes. Signed as a free agent on July 21, 2006, Conboy (6'2", 210 lbs.) has totaled six assists and 121 penalty minutes in 59 career NHL games with the Hurricanes.
