Pirates Playoff Tickets On Sale Tomorrow

Portland, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today that tickets for the first two games of Pirates Playoff Hockey powered by Time Warner Cable will go on sale tomorrow (Saturday) at noon at the Cumberland County Civic Center Box Office. Depending on opponent, the Pirates will play their first home game of the Calder Cup Playoffs either Friday, April 16th at 7 p.m. or Sunday, April 18th at 4 p.m. at the Cumberland County Civic Center. The Pirates second post season home game will be played either Saturday, April 17th at 7 p.m. or Thursday, April 22nd at 7 p.m. If the Pirates post a regulation win or lose in overtime or a shootout tonight in Manchester, they will secure home ice advantage for the first round of the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs. In that scenario, the Pirates will host Games 1 and 2 of their opening round series at the Cumberland County Civic Center on Friday, April 16th and Saturday, April 17th. Both games at 7 p.m. Tickets for the opening round of Pirates Playoff Hockey powered by Time Warner Cable are $16 for Main Deck, $13 for Quarter Deck or $11 for Senior/Student/Youth in either seating location. Special group ticket pricing is also available. Groups of 10 or more can save $2 per ticket off the Box Office price. The Pirates complete the 2009-10 Regular Season with their final three games this weekend. The concluding stretch begins tonight (Friday) on the road in Manchester against the Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard live on News Talk WLOB 95.5 FM and on-line at www.portlandpirates.com beginning with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m. The Pirates Regular Season comes to a close with a pair of home games Saturday and Sunday at the Cumberland County Civic Center. Saturday it's a Labatt Blue Light Hockey Night in Portland when the Pirates take on the Lowell Devils Saturday at 7 p.m. at the CCCC. Join the following friends of Labatt Blue Light and the Pirates before and after the game at Binga's Stadium ($3 Labatt drafts), Brian Boru ($2.40 Labatt drafts), Frosty Pint ($2.50 Labatt Drafts and Labatt Light bottles) and Spring Point Tavern ($2 Labatt drafts).The first 2,000 fans in to the game will receive a free toothbrush courtesy of Northeast Delta Dental. The Pirates also welcome area Boy Scouts to the game. Salty Pete's Treasure Chest will be up for grabs filled with over $500 in prizes. Sunday the Pirates close out the Regular Season in a 4 p.m. game against the Worcester Sharks at the CCCC. It's PeoplesChoice Credit Union Fan Appreciation Day as select fans will win the shirt right off the back of their favorite player at the end of the game. The UNUM Challenge concludes with the Sharks leading 4-3. It's USA Hockey Member Appreciation Night.
