The Aeros are 2-3-0-0 this season against Iowa and 9-6-0-0 all-time. The teams met five times in the season's first 34 days, but haven't played since. Houston is 2-2-0-0 this season in Des Moines, with this being the last meeting at Wells Fargo Arena. In their last trip to Iowa, the Aeros swept a pair of games November 9-10.

The Stars (21-16-1-0) are in tied for third with Peoria in the West Division. The Stars have won two in a row and are 6-1-1-0 in their last eight. Iowa features former Aeros Marty Wilford, Junior Lessard and Marius Holtet.

SAT, at OMA, 7 p.m.

The Aeros are winless in four meetings with Omaha this season (0-2-0-2), including 4-0 and 3-0 losses in Nebraska. Since winning its first two trips to Omaha Civic Auditorium, Houston is 0-3-1-1. The Aeros haven't won in Nebraska since a 4-3 shootout decision October 20, 2005. Houston has never won in regulation in Omaha - both victories have come in a shootout.

Omaha (21-13-3-0) sits in second place in the West Division, despite a 4-5-0-1 mark in its last 10. The Knights have lost three in a row though on home ice.

SUN, at SAN, 5 p.m.

With three games left in the season series, Houston is 5-3-0-1 versus the Rampage, including a 1-2-0-1 mark at AT&T Center. Overall, the Aeros are 13-8-4-3 all-time at AT&T Center.

San Antonio had its four-game winning streak snapped Sunday by the Aeros, 4-1. The Rampage is in last place in the West Division with 30 points.

The Aeros are 15-6-0-3 when scoring three or more goals. They are 1-12-0-1 when scoring two or fewer.

The National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild went 1-1-1 last week and ranks third in the Northwest Division with 45 points (21-18-3)...Minnesota takes a 10-game road winless streak to Calgary on Tuesday, then Vancouver on Thursday, Edmonton on Friday and Chicago on Sunday...C Wyatt Smith has two assists in 28 games.

The ECHL's Texas Wildcatters went 0-2-0-1 against Columbia last week and are tied with Florida for first place in the South Division...The Wildcatters' 44 points have them in a tie for the overall ECHL lead... Texas begins a six-game road trip with games Tuesday and Friday at Augusta, and Saturday at Gwinnett...D Paul Albers(8-16=24) and D Mike Madill (1-21=22), both Minnesota Wild contracts, rank seventh and tied for 12th, respectively, among all ECHL defensemen despite their rookie status...F Mark Rooneem has 10 points (5-5=10) in 31 games...F Riley Emmerson has one assist and 64 PIM's in 25 games...C Alex Leavitt has five points (2-3=5) in six games...G Miroslav Kopriva is 6-1-0-1 with a 2.87 gaa and a .907 save pct. in 13 games...G Matt Yeats, who attended Aeros camp, is 14-6-2-1 with a 2.92 gaa and a .916 save pct.

The Central Hockey League's Austin Ice Bats are 13-12-6, in third place in the Southeast Division...RW Michael Tucciarone, who attended the Aeros' training camp in September, is sixth on the team in scoring (9-9=18).

Aeros pick up five of eight points

Wednesday: Erik Reitz and Mattias Weinhandl posted a goal and an assist and Josh Harding made 31 saves in his return to the lineup, as the Houston Aeros shook off a pair of one-goal deficits for a 5-3 victory over the first-place Chicago Wolves at Allstate Arena. Danny Irmen, Benoit Pouliot and Peter Olvecky also scored for Houston.

Thursday: Marek Schwarz made 35 saves and was perfect on four shootout attempts, as the Peoria Rivermen outlasted the Houston Aeros 4-3 at Toyota Center. Michal Birner, D.J. King and Charles Linglet scored in regulation, and Peter Sejna and Jon DiSalvatore netted shootout goals for Peoria.

Danny Irmen posted a goal and an assist, Peter Ratchuk and Roman Voloshenko also scored and Miroslav Kopriva made 28 saves for Houston.

Saturday: Joakim Lindstrom notched a goal and two assists, Geoff Platt added a goal and a helper and Tomas Popperle made 18 saves, as the Syracuse Crunch knocked off the Houston Aeros 4-1 in front of a season-high 8,440 fans on Curtis Murphy Bobblehead Night at Toyota Center.

Joel Ward scored a goal and Josh Harding made 25 stops for Houston.

Sunday: Mattias Weinhandl tallied two goals and an assist, Jason Morgan and Benoit Pouliot each scored a goal and Josh Harding made 23 saves, as the Houston Aeros snapped the San Antonio Rampage's four-game winning streak, 4-1 at Toyota Center. Matt Foy and Erik Reitz added two assists apiece for Houston.
