Hot Rods Opener in Dayton Postponed

Dayton, Ohio - Rain doesn't seem to be a fan of series openers between the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) and Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds). A storm that brought heavy rainfall to the Dayton, Ohio area forced the postponement of the opener between the two squads on Tuesday night.
The game will now formally take place on Wednesday as game one of a doubleheader. Game one will get underway at 4:30 p.m. CT, and German Marquez (2-3, 3.98) will take the mound for the Hot Rods against left-hander Amir Garrett (1-4, 5.17) for Dayton. Game two will follow shortly after, and they'll both be seven innings in lenghth.
The Hot Rods are closing out the first half of the season with a six-game road trip. Fans can follow the action on 1340 WBGN - The Ticket. The Pepsi Pre-Game Show will get underway at 4:15 p.m. CT on Wednesday afternoon. Baseball will return to Bowling Green Ballpark on Tuesday, June 24, when the Hot Rods host Lake County (Cleveland Indians).
