
NASCAR's Austin Dillon Coming to Dow Diamond on Wednesday

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons are excited to welcome NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Austin Dillon to Dow Diamond on Wednesday, June 11.
Dillon, who drives the No. 3 Dow Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing, is one of NASCAR's rising young stars. He was the Nationwide Series Champion in 2013, NNS Rookie of the Year in 2012, 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck series champion - the youngest in series history - and was named the Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year in 2010. He's currently 15th in the Sprint Cup Series standings.
Dillon's appearance will include a variety of pre-game events at Dow Diamond. His No. 3 car will on display at the ballpark from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. He'll join the ESPN 100.9-FM pregame show live from the stadium, and will also throw out the first pitch prior to the Loons 7:05 p.m. game against Detroit Tigers-affiliate West Michigan.
Dillon's athletic background includes having played in the 2002 Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Penn.
