Clinton LumberKings News Release

Clinton 9 @ Lansing 2

Eric Hurley (5-1; 3.74), who was named the Rangers minor league pitcher of the month after posting a 3-0 record and a 2.33 ERA for the month rebounded from a series of poor-to-mediocre May starts with a strong effort, holding the Lugnuts to two runs on two hits and a pair of walks in six innings of work during which he set eight down on strikes.

Emerson Frostad (.269 / .349 / .448) doubled twice and homered in five at-bats, driving in two while Adam Fox (.256 / .327 / .420) went 4-5 with a bomb. Jim Fasano (.306 / .368 / .435) belted a two-run homer and drew a walk in five trips.

Mike Padgett and Johnny Lujan followed Hurley with a combined three perfect innings of relief.
