Holmqvist named Provident Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Cincinnati left wing Michael Holmqvist (pronounced HOHLM-kvihst), who had six goals and two assists in 14 games, was named Provident Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for November.

Holmqvist led the Ducks in goals, first goals (four) and shooting percentage (21.4%) during the month, while tying for second in points (eight). He finished the month with goals in three of his last five games.

This is the first time in Holmqvist's career he has been named the Mighty Ducks Player of the Month.

Holmqvist, a first-round pick by Anaheim in 1997, has appeared in 21 games with Cincinnati this season, recording six goals and four assists with 37 penalty minutes.

In recognition of his achievement, Holmqvist will be presented with a plaque from Provident Bank prior to an upcoming Mighty Ducks home game.
