Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that Captain Pascal Rheaume, Scott Clemmensen, Brett Clouthier, Matt DeMarchi, Ivan Khomutov and Ryan Murphy will assist youth group volunteers in wrapping Holiday gift baskets for needy families at the Equinox Youth Shelter on Monday, December 6, 2004 from 4:00-5:00pm. The non-profit company's headquarters at 95 Central Avenue in Albany and can be reached via telephone at (518) 434-6137.
Equinox, Inc. provides assistance, in a safe and supportive environment, to individuals and families to help find resources within themselves to grow and make positive, lasting changes in their lives and communities. The organization also includes an Independent Living Program for homeless youths, the Youth Outreach Center and Street Outreach Program, Domestic Violence Services, a Counseling Center and the organization has provided a Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner each year since 1969.
The Albany River Rats, in their 12th season as a member of the American Hockey League, are owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., and serve as the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils.
