
Shasby assigned to Long Beach

The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today they have assigned defenceman Matt Shasby to the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL.
Shasby, a 24-year-old native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, played in 11 games for the Bulldogs this season. The 6'2, 200 pound defenceman did not record a point or any penalty minutes in those contests. During the 2003-04 season, Shasby skated in 66 games for the ECHL's Columbus Cottonmouths and led their defence in scoring with 28 points on eight goals and 20 assists.
The Montreal Canadiens originally selected Shasby in the fifth round, 150th overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
