
Crunch to hold first ever DestiNY USA Teddy Bear Toss

Syracuse, NY (December 2, 2004) â The Syracuse Crunch, DestiNY USA and UPN 6 announced today that they will host the first-ever DestiNY USA Teddy Bear Toss on December 18, with all collected stuffed animals going to benefit the Marines Toys for Tots program.
For each new or gently used stuff animal a fan brings to the War Memorial at Oncenter, beginning at the Crunch's home game on December 4, through the start of the Crunch's December 18 home game, they will receive a raffle ticket, giving them a chance to win a $1,000 gift certificate to Carousel Center, compliments of DestiNY USA.
The raffle drawing for the $1,000 gift certificate to Carousel Center will be held during the second period of the Crunch's December 18 game. The winner must be present at the game to win the gift certificate.
Drop off locations during the December 4, December 10, December 11 and December 17 games will be located at the State Street and Montgomery Street entrances until 7:30 p.m. After the games have begun, fans can drop off their stuffed animals at the Advance Auto Parts Guest Service Center, located on the second floor of the War Memorial. Fans bringing stuffed animals to the December 18 game to toss onto the ice can pick up their raffle tickets at the State Street or Montgomery Street entrances, prior to entering the game. No raffle tickets will be given out once fans have gained entry into the game.
During the first intermission of the December 18 game the Crunch will ask all fans in attendance to âtoss' their new or gently used stuffed animals onto the ice. All collected stuffed animals will benefit the Marines Toys for Tots program.
In addition, any fan that brings a stuffed animal in will have the opportunity to purchase a ticket to the December 18 game for $10 (up to an $8 savings). No phone orders will be accepted â must purchase tickets in person to receive the discount.
The Crunch hosts St. John's on Saturday, December 4 for Scooby-Doo Night at the Crunch. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, at the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
