Hogs Try To Shake Off Monsters Tonight

Rockford, Ill.- The final quarter of the 2007-08 American Hockey League regular season begins tonight for the Rockford IceHogs. The Hogs return to the MetroCentre ice to face-off against the Lake Erie Monsters and game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

Tonight's contest is the fourth and final between Rockford and Lake Erie. The Hogs will look avenge a 2-0 shutout against the Monsters in the teams last meeting on Jan. 5 in Rockford. Rockford is 2-1-0-0 against Lake Erie this season.

The first 2,000 fans to tonight's game will pick up an IceHogs cowbell courtesy of Member's Alliance Credit Union. For tickets to the game, call (815) 968-5222, visit www.centreevents.com or stop down to the MetroCentre Box Office.

Also, the IceHogs are expecting the club's fourth sell out of the season on Saturday night when the IceHogs take on the Providence Bruins. Tickets are still available but going fast.

Next Home Game: Saturday, March 1 vs. Providence Bruins. The top team in the AHL rolls into Rockford for their second and final game against the Rockford IceHogs. Game time is 7:05 p.m. At the game, Maplecrest Construction welcomes Emily Osment, who plays "Lilly" on Disney's Hannah Montana. The teen star will be available for autographs from 5:30-8 p.m. and is presented in part by Dunkin Donuts, Pepsi and Bob FM 95.3. Also, the first 1,000 fans through the door will get a Hammer Piggy Bank courtesy of OSF's Department of Sports Medicine.
