Houston Aeros Announce Clear Day Roster

HOUSTON, Texas - Houston Aeros' General Manager Tom Lynn today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club's Clear Day Roster. The Aeros' Clear Day Roster includes two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 12 forwards.

Each AHL team submits a Clear Day roster to the league consisting of a maximum of 22 players. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team's Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2007-08 AHL regular season and in the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

Teams are also allowed to have an "In-Residence" list of players who are allowed to join the 22-man roster in case of the fore-mentioned emergency situations. The Aeros have listed goaltender Anton Khudobin as the only "In-Residence" player. Khudobin is currently on the roster due to Nolan Schaefer's injury suffered on February 12.

Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete. A complete list of all 29 AHL team Clear Day rosters may be found at theahl.com.
