Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill.- While today's Rockford-Grand Rapids Kids' Day tilt will be unique, the IceHogs hope the outcome is similar to that of the teams' first seven meetings.
Rockford (31-21-2-3, 67 points, second place in West Division) has earned a point in all seven contests, going 6-0-0-1. When the puck drops at 2:05 this afternoon, they'll be seeking a win and 15 of 16 possible points in the eight-game season series with the Griffins (24-28-1-1, 50 points, tied for sixth place in North Division).
All kids 14 and under can purchase $5 tickets and the IceHogs, along with Best Buy, will be giving away 10 gaming systems, including five Wiis and five Playstation 3s.

With their 3-2 victory in Grand Rapids on Jan. 30, the Hogs swept the four games at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. They've also won the last two meetings at the Big Orange Box after enduring a 5-4 shootout loss on Jan. 2.
After Saturday's 3-2 setback to the Milwaukee Admirals, Rockford is back in pursuit of first place in the West, as the red-hot Chicago Wolves lead the way with 70 points.
Today's game is the second of a four-game homestand for Rockford, which will host San Antonio on Friday and Saturday.
Next Home Game: Friday, Feb. 19 vs. San Antonio Rampage: Game time is 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs baseball hat courtesy of WXRX and 23-WIFR.
