Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill. - Two playoff contenders fighting for their spot in the Western Conference playoff picture clash tonight at the BMO Harris Bank Center as the Rockford IceHogs (34-28-2-1) host the Milwaukee Admirals (32-25-4-3).
Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. as the Hogs and Admirals meet for a ninth time on the campaign. The Midwest Division rivals enter tonight's contest with 71 points apiece, and are in a three-way tie for seventh place in the Western Conference, along with the Chicago Wolves.
Family Four Packs are available for tonight's game. Fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $55. To purchase a Family Four Pack or single-game tickets to tonight's matchup, call (815) 968-5222, visit IceHogs.com, any Ticketmaster outlet or by visiting the BMO Harris Bank Center box office.
This evening's contest can also be viewed on 23.2 Antenna TV, Comcast Cable channel-436, Charter-970, Mediacom-101 or online through AHLlive.com.
The IceHogs are coming off of a 4-1 victory from Wednesday night over the North Division-leading Toronto Marlies. Jeremy Morin registered a shorthanded and power-play goal, while Brandon Pirri added a trio of assists. Each has been a prominent figure in the Hogs quest for the playoffs, which would be the first time since the 2009-10 campaign.
In nine games during the month of March, Morin has notched 14 points (10g-4a) and Pirri has recorded 15 points (2g-13a). Pirri's 56 points (19g-37a) paces all Rockford skaters, while Morin leads the Hogs in goals with a career-high 27 this season. Morin's 27 goals also ranks in the top-5 in the American Hockey League and Pirri's 56 points ranks in the top-10 in the AHL.
Next Home Game: Saturday, March 30 vs. Oklahoma City Barons at 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Barons close out their regular season series at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Thus far, the Hogs hold a 2-1-0-0 record against the Edmonton Oilers affiliate. The first 1,500 fans to the contest will receive an IceHogs gym bag, courtesy of Peak Fitness.
