Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen tied a season high netting seven goals in a 7-3 win over the Kootenay ICE on Sunday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

James Malm and Carson Focht led the Hitmen attack with four points each both scoring once and adding three assists. Riley Stotts (2g, 1a) also had strong performance with three points. Egor Zamula, Tye Carriere and Mark Kastelic tallied the other Hitmen goals in a contest that saw Calgary jump out to a 4-1 third period lead.

Brad Ginnell, Martin Bodak and Brett Davis replied for the ICE who have now lost four games in a row.

One of the game stories was Calgary's strong third period where they outshot the ICE 23-8, outscoring the visitors 4-2. This season the Hitmen have now outshot their opponents by a combined 280-169 in the final frame.

Rookie goaltender Jack McNaughton picked up his third win of the season making 29 saves helping the Hitmen pull within four points of Moose Jaw for the final Eastern Conference Wild Card Spot.

Calgary will now get set to open a season-high seven game road trip in a rematch with the ICE on Friday, Nov. 16 in Cranbrook. The swing continues the following night on Saturday, Nov. 17 in Spokane for the start of a U.S. Division tour.

The trip will also see Calgary face Everett (Nov. 20), Portland (Nov. 21), Seattle (Nov. 23) and Tri-City (Nov. 24) before wrapping up in Red Deer on Nov. 30.

The Hitmen won't be back in the "Dome until Saturday, Dec. 1 against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
