
Hitmen Spread Scoring around in Win over Moose Jaw

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen used a balanced scoring attack, getting goals from seven different players, in a 7-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Sunday evening at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Defenceman Luke Prokop led the way with three assists while Josh Prokop, Carson Focht and Mark Kastelic all tallied a goal and an assist. Riley Fiddler-Schultz, Cael Zimmerman, Adam Kydd and Evan Toth also found the back of the net for the Hitmen who swept the season series with Moose Jaw taking all four games.
Ryder Korczak and Brayden Tracey counted goals for the Warriors while Owen Hardy chipped in a pair of assists.
Calgary outshot the visitors 39-18 with rookie goaltender Brayden Peters making 16 saves to record the victory.
The Hitmen have now won four straight at home and will return to the 'Dome following a four-day break to host the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday, Jan. 10 against Lethbridge. Game time is 7:00 p.m. for Pucks for Paws presented by Chasin' Tails and WEB Consulting Ltd. in support of Four Feet Companion Foundation. The night will include a first intermission wiener dog race.
Calgary will then host Swift Current on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 2:00 p.m. in another Sunday Funday presented by Ricky's All Day Grill featuring face painters, concourse activities, giveaways and a post-game family skate that is FREE with a game ticket. Sunday Funday pricing sees a $9.99 ticket for kids 12 and under and a $15.99 ticket for adults (plus applicable fees and taxes).
