Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club, along with forward Riley Fiddler-Schultz, are proud to announce details on a new community program called Fidds Friends.
Throughout the season, parents or registered chaperones with the Boys & Girls Club of Calgary will bring kids to a total of six games. They will receive tickets to attend a Sunday Funday contest presented by Ricky's All Day Grill and Scotiabank Saddledome concession vouchers. Following the game, guests of Fidds Friends will meet Riley for photos and autographs.
"The Boys & Girls Club does a great job helping to build confidence in kids and giving them the tools to be successful. These have been key ingredients to my success as a hockey player and in life," said Fiddler-Schultz. "I love kids and with the great support from the Calgary Hitmen, I am excited for the chance to work with this organization. I know how fortunate I have been in my life, that's why I want to pay it forward in the community."
Fidds Friends will see 60 Boys & Girls Club of Calgary guests benefit from the program.
"It is always gratifying to hear about young people who grow up to do great things in the community," commented Jeff Dyer, CEO Boys & Girls Club of Calgary. "We're thrilled that Riley has chosen to partner with us because he knows that building self-confidence and positive relationships are necessary for success. This partnership means that kids and their families get a chance to have a fun and exciting experience together, something that helps shape a solid foundation for the future."
