
Hitmen Acquire Forward Justin Ivanusec from the Giants

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen have acquired 2006-born forward Justin Ivanusec from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
In his rookie season with Vancouver, Ivanusec has played 29 games with the club. In the 2022-23 season he played with the Yale Hockey Academy U18 Prep where he recorded 30 points (15a,15a) in 30 games. The forward has previously played with current Calgary Hitmen players Chase Valliant and Carson Wetsch with both Yale Hockey Academy and the Burnaby Winter Club.
"Justin is a solid right winger who possesses great feet and hands." said General Manager Garry Davidson "He will fit in well with our young core and we are excited for him to get started with the organization."
