Tigers Trade Goaltender to Warriors

Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers have made a trade with the Moose Jaw Warriors during the January 10 Trade Deadline. Trading 04 ‚¬Â² born goaltender Evan May (Nanaimo, BC) in exchange for a 3rd round pick in the 2027 WHL Prospects Draft to the Moose Jaw Warriors.

May, 19, was 9-7-2 this season with two shutouts for a 3.46 GAA & .884 save percentage. In 40 games with the Tigers, May went 14-16-2 after being acquired from the Everett Silvertips during the 2022-2023 season.

Tigers Head Coach & General Manager Willie Desjardins thanks Evan for his time in Medicine Hat and wishes him all the best in Moose Jaw.

"Ever since we acquired Evan, we've loved his improvement each and everyday as goaltender in the WHL," he says. "Evan is a great young man and his character is outstanding. We want to wish Evan and his family all the best as he heads to Moose Jaw."

The Tigers are back in action this Friday and Saturday in a home-at-home series with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, first in Lethbridge on the 12th and then at home on the 13th.
