Hershey Falls to Norfolk, 1-0
November 28, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release
The HERSHEY BEARS fell to the Norfolk Admirals by a score of 1-0 Friday at the Scope in Norfolk. Tom Lawson stopped 25 of 26 shots and received the loss. His record is now 5-2. The BEARS were unable to get the puck by Admiral's goalie Steve Passmore and suffered their first shutout of the season. HERSHEY (12-5-2-2) remains tied for the top spot in the East Division with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers with 28 points.
Ty Jones would score the only goal of the contest at 12:23 of the first period. It would be all that Norfolk would need as Passmore shut the door on the BEARS. Tempers would flare as Mark Jerant and Gavin Morgan each fought Admirals tough guy, Shawn Thornton in the second and third periods, respectively.
The BEARS have a shot at the same Norfolk Admirals again, Saturday night at GIANT CENTER as they finish the second game of a home and home series. Game time is 7:00 pm. Join John Walton as he will have all of the play-by-play action, high above rink side, with the pre-game show beginning at 6:40 pm.
