Please note the following changes and transactions reflected on today's roster:
RHP Jasvir Rakkar (#40) placed on the temporary inactive list to participate in the Pan American Games for Team Canada
LHP Michael Heesch (#37) promoted to Triple-A Iowa
RHP Brad Markey (#13) received from Class-A South Bend Cubs
Markey is active and is expected to be in uniform for tonight's 6:00 p.m. ET contest with the Carolina Mudcats at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, North Carolina. He will take the place of Fernando Cruz in the rotation and is expected to make his Pelicans debut on Tuesday at home.
With the moves, the Pelicans roster is now at 24 active players (13 pitchers, 11 position players), which is one below the Carolina League limit, and includes seven players on the disabled list and one on the inactive list.
