Harrold Joins Monarchs In Rockford

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned defenseman Peter Harrold to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi today announced.

Harrold, 24, has played in 39 games with the Monarchs this season, and has recorded 38 points (7-31=38). His 31 assists rank second overall on the team (and first among all AHL defensemen) while his 38 points rank third overall on the team (and first among all AHL defensemen). Named last week to PlanetUSA's AHL All-Star Team, Harrold, was recalled by the Kings on Monday and did not appear in a game with the club. A 5-foot-11, 195-pound native of Kirtland Hills, Ohio, Harrold has played in 12 career NHL games - all with the Kings - and has two points (both assists). He was originally signed by the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on April 12, 2006.

The Monarchs have won the first three games of their six game road trip. Manchester continues their six game road trip with game four against the Rockford IceHogs on Wednesday, January 16 at 7:05 p.m. at the Rockford MetroCentre.
