Lake Erie Monsters and Wal-Mart Bring Respect to Independence

The Lake Erie Monsters have joined forces with Wal-Mart to bring the "Respect Tour" to local students, spreading the message of being good citizens. This Thursday, January 17th at 1:30 p.m., Monsters players Mark McCutcheon and J.D. Corbin, along with radio and TV play-by-play announcer John Michael and the Monsters staff, will visit third and fourth graders at Independence Primary School in Independence, Ohio.

Michael will emcee the event, which includes dialogue between him and the players on topics such as respect, hard work and what it takes to be a well-rounded person. The session is followed by a question and answer period for the students with McCutcheon and Corbin.

The Lake Erie Monsters are part of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena organization and also owned by a group led by Cavaliers Majority Owner and Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert.
