TODAY'S GAME The Senators and Binghamton Rumble Ponies play the rubber match of their three-game series Thursday afternoon at FNB Field. After a walk-off win by the Senators in game one, Binghamton evened the series with a 4-0 shutout win in game two. The two clubs are scheduled to play just six games against each other this season, with three games at each club's ballpark. The Senators went 5-9 against Binghamton last season. The Senators have won 12 of their past 16 games overall.
CROWD SURFING The Senators had an attendance of 8,036 fans at FNB Field on Wednesday night, the third largest crowd in modern Senators history which dates back to 1987. The only two crowds larger than that were for Stephen Strasburg and Ivan Rodriguez's rehab appearance along with the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo on September 1, 2011 (8,637) and Bryce Harper's Senators debut on July 4, 2011 (8,092).
COMEBACK WIN Tuesday's series opening win was the Senators' first victory this season when trailing entering the 9th inning. The Senators are now 1-20 in such contests. The win was also the Senators' sixth walk-off victory this year while the team had just four walk-off wins all of last season.
EASTERN LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Adam Brett Walker was named Eastern League Player of the Week for the week of May 28 to June 3rd. Walker is the third Senators this season to receive pitcher of player of the week honors, joining pitchers Brady Dragmire and Kyle McGowin. Walker hit a pair of triples in Saturday night's game, becoming the first Senator this season to hit multiple three-base hits in a game. Walker was the Eastern League weekly leader in slugging percentage (.864), OPS (1.308), triples (2), and tied for the league lead in home runs (2) and extra base hits (5).
SCHEDULE UPDATE Tuesday marked the first of 13 consecutive games the Senators play with National League rules. The Senators do not play another game with the DH until June 19 against Bowie. In addition, following Thursday's series finale against Binghamton, the Senators' next 28 games are against the Western Division beginning with their three game series at Richmond which starts on Friday.
