Baysox to Welcome Jose Canseco on June 14

BOWIE, Md. - Former American League MVP and Oakland A's Bash Brother Jose Canseco will be at Prince George's Stadium on Thursday, June 14 when the Bowie Baysox host the Trenton Thunder (AA New York Yankees) at 6:35 p.m.

The autograph session will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and there is a limit of one autograph per person so that as many fans as possible can be accommodated. Autograph personalization or photos with Canseco will not be permitted.

A purchase of a ticket to the June 14 game does not guarantee an autograph from Canseco.

Canseco hit .266 with 462 home runs and 1,407 RBI over a 17-year big league career that spanned seven different teams: Oakland Athletics (1985-92, 1997), Texas Rangers (1992-94), Boston Red Sox (1995-96), Toronto Blue Jays (1998), Tampa Bay Rays (1999-2000), New York Yankees (2000) and Chicago White Sox (2001).

The native Cuban was named the 1988 American League MVP after hitting .307-42-124 in 158 games with the Athletics and was selected as a six-time All-Star during his career.

Baysox single game tickets are available online at baysox.com, via phone at 301-464-4865 or in person at the stadium ticket office. The Baysox ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on non-game days, until the top of the 7th inning on non-fireworks game days and at the end of the fireworks show on fireworks game days.
