Harris And Scrubb Lead Magic In Win Over Mad Ants

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at the RP Funding Center. Kevon Harris and Jay Scrubb scored 27 points each as they tied for the game-high in scoring while the Lakeland Magic rallied past the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 128-121 on Friday night.
Justin Anderson fired off 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, and David Stockton added 24 points, seven assists, and four steals for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
The Magic held the lead the entire game apart from two possessions briefly in the second quarter. Both teams would run into foul trouble as three players would foul out and two would get ejected.
"We were on a less aggressive side in the second half due to foul trouble. Coach told us we had to play through it and play together to make sure we got the job done," Harris said.
Harris would go on to score 18 of his 27 points in the second half. "My teammates do a great job at finding me. I try my best to play on the ball and off the ball. Being able to play in many ways makes it possible for me to help my teammates."
Lakeland regained a double-digit lead at the end of the fourth quarter on a three-point shot by Aleem Ford. Fort Wayne would cut it back down to single digits with just over a minute remaining.
The Lakeland Magic (9-5) will face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, on January 28 in Lakeland at 7:00 PM on Nbagleague.com.
