Birmingham Acquires Josh Nzeakor from Available Player Pool

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League Affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, announced Friday that the team has added forward Josh Nzeakor from the available player pool.
Nzeakor, a 6-8, 225-lb. forward, last played for the Texas Legends this season and averaged 9.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game (28.9 minutes) in 10 appearances.
The Lamar product averaged 10.5 points and 6.4 boards in 24.5 minutes per game during his collegiate career.
Along with picking up Nzeakor, Birmingham has waived guard Riley LaChance.
Nzeakor will be available for Birmingham's game tomorrow at Maine.
