Bakersfield, California - The Utah Grizzlies (8-4-2-1) defeated the Bakersfield Condors 3-1 Wednesday night at Rabobank Arena.

Utah took control of the game in the first 6:57 with two power-play goals. Tim Crowder redirected home a Brad Snetsinger shot at 3:44 to give Utah a 1-0 lead.

Brett Parnham made it 2-0, tipping home a Ric Jackman shot at 6:57 to give Utah a 2-0 lead. Brent Gauvreau and Nick Tuzzolino also tallied first period power-play assists.

Bakersfield got their lone goal on the power-play 54 seconds into the second period.

The Grizzlies made it 3-1 4:14 into the third period as Marcus Carroll fired home a shot from the circle. Matt Clarke picked up an assist. The goal allowed Utah breathing room to kill two late penalties.

"I thought we had a solid first period, had a couple breakdowns in the second but stuck together and battled hard for a good bounce back game," said Grizzlies Head Coach Kevin Colley.

J.P. Lamoureux stopped 27 of 28 shots and 20-straight to earn the win in goal.

Utah returns to action Friday in Stockton at 8:30 p.m., before returning to Bakersfield Saturday and completing the trip Sunday in Ontario.

The Grizzlies return home to play 10 of 12 games during the month of December: starting December 2, 3 and 4. Face-off all three nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
