K-Wings Add To Roster Heading Into Thanksgiving Night Contest

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce forward Justin Taylor has been reassigned from Bridgeport, and the team has signed defenseman Alan Dorich (DOOR-itch). Per team policy, the terms of the contracts will be undisclosed.

Taylor is a rookie forward that has played in six games with the Sound Tigers. A former sixth round selection (180th overall) of the Washington Capitals in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Taylor played junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the London Knights, where he was a teammate of current K-Wing defenseman Steven Tarasuk.

Entering his first full season as a professional, Dorich comes to Kalamazoo after starting the season with the Wheeling Nailers. Dorich earned one point (an assist) in two games with the Nailers. Before turning pro, Dorich was a four-year standout with Northern Michigan University. As a member of the Wildcats, Dorich earned Defenseman of the Year honors as a sophomore and Most Improved Player during his freshman season.

Dorich also spent three seasons of junior hockey with the Des Moines Buccaneers of United States Hockey League, where he helped the Buccaneers capture the Clark Cup during the 2003-04 season.

The K-Wings will return home to Wings Stadium this Thursday, November 25th for a 7:30 p.m. encounter versus the Greenville Road Warriors during the first-ever Old Burdick's Thanksgiving Night Game.

Single-game tickets for all regular season home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
