Utah Grizzlies News Release
West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies finish training camp today at the Acord Ice Center. Practice will run from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and the public is invited to attend. Immediately following, the team will board the bus for McCall, Idaho, where they will face the Idaho Steelheads in a preseason game Friday night.
"It will be good to see the players going up against some new faces that they haven't been practicing with all week," said Grizzlies assistant coach Chuck Weber. "Players will be competing in a game situation, while competing to make our team. It will be a test."
Face-off Friday is at 7:30 p.m. MT from the Manchester Ice and Events Centre in the Idaho resort town. The game will not be carried on Salt Lake's ESPN 1230.
25 players are currently in camp with the Grizzlies. That number must be trimmed to 20 by Wednesday at 1 p.m. MT.
Opening Night for the Grizzlies is a week from Friday, when they welcome the Phoenix Roadrunners to the E-Center for a 7:05 p.m. face-off. Season tickets are still available by calling (801) 988-PUCK.
