Snowball to Toledo
October 13, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Toledo Walleye News Release
(Toledo, Ohio) Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that they have released forwards Carmen Minor, Steve Nagy, and defenseman Mike Utzig from its training camp roster. In a separate move, forward Rob Snowball has been assigned to Toledo from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Snowball, a Toledo fan favorite, signed a contract with the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators on August 31, 2005. Robert led Toledo a season ago with 22 major penalties, which was the second most in the ECHL. The Markham, Ontario native also tallied 4 goals with 6 assists a year ago. "What Rob brings is that edge," said Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Nick Vitucci. "He can play the physical game, but as we saw last year he is very gifted."
Opening night 2005 is October 21st against Dayton. Tickets are on sale for
that contest and the remaining 35 home games at all ticket master outlets.
