Grizzlies Trade for Goaltender Shane Connelly

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the team has acquired goaltender Shane Connelly from the Trenton Devils in exchange for future considerations.

Connelly, a second-year-pro, has appeared in 69 ECHL games and totaled a 24-28-11 record, a 3.20 goals-against-average and a .890 save percentage. This year he has appeared with Trenton, Elmira and South Carolina. He went 5-3-0-1 for Trenton in February with a 2.91 goals-against-average and a .896 save percentage.

He played four years of college hockey at Wisconsin and went 41-36-11 with a 2.38 goals-against-average and a .913 save percentage.

The Grizzlies return home to open a six-game home stand Friday and Saturday to host Ontario at 7:05 p.m. each evening.
