Pasquale Called up to AHL Chicago

Goaltender Edward Pasquale has been re-assigned to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League by the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League.

Pasquale returns to the Wolves after he appeared in seven games with the Gladiators since being assigned to Gwinnett on February 7th. During his last stint with Gwinnett, Pasquale earned a 5-2-0 record with Gwinnett and recorded a .894 save percentage.

During his first five games with the Gladiators from December 28th through January 14th, he earned a 3.79 goals against average and a .904 save percentage while he posted a 2-2-0 record. Pasquale's first win with Gwinnett on December 28th and snapped the Gladiators 11-game winless streak from December 2nd through December 26th. He was reassigned to AHL Chicago on January 16th.

Pasquale has appeared in 12 games with the Wolves this season earning a 5-6-0 record while he recorded a 3.10 goals against average and an .895 save percentage.

The Toronto, Ontario, native skated with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League during each of the past three seasons. He appeared in a 61 games and led the OHL in minutes played during the 2008-09 season. He notched a 3.02 goals against average and a .911 save percentage during the regular season with Saginaw.

The 6-foot-2, 218-pound netminder was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 4th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft with the 117th overall pick.

The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
