
Grizzlies' Rolando Gomez Selected as Frontier League All-Star

SAUGET, Ill. - The Gateway Grizzlies are pleased to announce that infielder Rolando Gomez has been voted on to the 2015 Frontier League All-Star team. Gomez will represent the league's West Division at the Frontier League All-Star Game in Schaumburg, Ill. on July 15.
Gomez, a native of Pembroke Pines, Fla., is currently batting .283 with three home runs and 18 RBI in 43 games. He is one of two players that has played in every game for the Grizzlies this season.
The first-year Grizzlies' infielder leads the team in walks, stolen bases, and runs scored. Gomez is also tied for the team-lead in hits and doubles. He ranks second in batting average on the Grizzlies' offense for players that have accumulated at least 100 at-bats this season.
Gomez spent nearly seven full seasons in the Los Angeles Angels' organization prior to joining the Frontier League last season. 2015 marks his first appearance in the Frontier League All-Star Game.
