The River City Rascals will be hosting Pete Rose Appearance Night at TR Hughes Ballpark this Friday, July 10, 2015. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM against the Gateway Grizzlies with gates opening at 5:35 PM. The Rascals will also be commemorating the appearance with Pete Rose bobbleheads.

Rose will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch and will address the crowd before the game at 6:15 PM. Throughout the game, the hit king will be serving as a Rascals base coach and interacting with fans. Rose will also be wearing Rascals jerseys and other apparel which will be auctioned off during the game.

Pete Rose is known for his playing and coaching days with the Cincinnati Reds. The 74 year old still holds a number of major league records including the most famous one, career hits with 4,256. Other notable records include most games played, at bats, singles and total bases as a switch hitter.

Box seats for the game with no bobblehead are $15, Infield Bleacher seats are $12, and Lawn/Outfield bleacher seats are $8. Pete Rose bobblehead tickets for $20 have officially sold out.

The career hits leader will also be meeting up to 100 fans before the game for a VIP meet and greet. Once again, a very limited number of VIP Meet and Greet passes are still available and can be purhcased by calling (636) 240-2287. -Third base gate opens for VIP pass holders at 4:30 PM

-Pete will speak and tell some baseball stories for 15-20 minutes

-$100 per person

-One autograph item may be signed per person. Items must have either Rascals or Frontier League logo. Frontier League baseballs, Rascals hats, and more items will be available for purchase before the VIP event.

-Opportunity to meet, get a picture, and have a short interaction with Pete at the autograph table

-Meet and Greet passes must be purchased via phone at (636) 240-2287 or at the Rascals box office by Friday, July 10 at 12 PM.

-Your ticket to the game must be purchased separately. A game ticket is required to purchase the Meet & Greet. Tickets are on sale at www.rivercityrascals.com.

-Meet and Greet will be held from 5-5:45 PM, before gates open to the general public
