West Valley City - The Utah Grizzlies gave up an early lead to the Worcester IceCats who never looked back as they took a 4-1 decision Thursday at the 'E' Center in front of 5,503.

Worcester, who improves to 6-6-5-0, opened the scoring late in the first period when Mike Glumac found the net at the 19:18 mark. The IceCats added another goal at 2:58 of the second period when Ernie Hartlieb slipped another puck past Jason Bacashihua. Bacashihua ended the losing effort with 29 saves.

Utah (4-9-1-2) finally responded when David Oliver set up David Gove for his fourth goal of the season at 4:51 of the third period making the score 2-1. This would be the only score that IceCats netminder Reinhard Divis would allow. Divis finished the contest with 28 stops and earned the game's first star honors.

Just when things were looking up for the Grizzlies, IceCat Scott Pellerin found the net for Worcester's third goal at the 6:17 mark. The final goal was scored by Worcester's Johnny Pohl into an empty net.

The Grizzlies will have two more chances against the IceCats. Utah and Worcester will have a 7:05 pm face-off Saturday at the 'E' Center before taking a trip to St. Louis where they'll meet for a third time on Sunday.
