
Grizzlies Finish Weekend Sweep of Bakersfield 5-1

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (32-24-5-3) defeated the Bakersfield Condors 5-1 Saturday night at Maverik Center.
Ryan Hayes (25,26) and H.T. Lenz (9,10) each tallied two goals for Utah and Igor Bobkov won his 16th game of the year as he stopped 33 of 34 as the Grizzlies finished off the two-game series sweep of Bakersfield.
For the second-straight night, the Grizzlies took a 1-0 lead in first four minutes of the game as Hayes worked in and scored.
Utah made it 2-0 as Cam Wojtala and Jacob Johnston got the puck to Lenz in front 3:34 into the second period.
The Grizzlies made it 3-1, answering a Bakersfield power-play goal, as Hayes broke in and slid the puck home with 2:07 left in the second period.
Off of a couple big Bobkov saves, Utah got the puck up ahead to H.T. Lenz who scored on a breakaway with 4:34 left in the game to make it 4-1.
Mathieu Aubin made it 5-1 as he scored his 23rd of the season into an empty-net with 27 seconds left.
Wojtala, Jacob Johnston and T.J. Syner each had two assists.
Utah outshot Bakersfield 40-34.
