Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City - After a dominant performance over Houston the day before, the Utah Grizzlies fell to the Aeros 4-1 at the E-Center Saturday. Houston collected four scores in the first twenty-four minutes with the help of Jason Marshall's goal and two assists and held on for the victory in front of a crowd of 4,215.

Houston's first period Saturday mirrored Utah's performance in their previous contest. Like the Grizzlies Friday night, Houston collected three first period scores. The first came from Jason Marshall who found the net at the 11:05 mark. Marshall assisted Houston's next two scores, both on the powerplay. Erik Reitz scored for Houston at 13:33 and Matt Foy gave Houston a 3-0 lead just two minutes later at the 15:55 mark. Grizzlies goaltender Jason Bacashihua was relieved by Mike Smith after the third goal.

The Grizzlies (3-6-1-2) finally got on the board when Gerard Dicaire scored his first professional goal at 1:29 of the second period. However, it only took two minutes for the Aeros to answer as Stephane Veilleux found the net at the 3:29 mark, collecting Houston's final goal. Houston's netminder Johan Homqvist finished the game with 18 saves.

The Grizzlies will travel to San Antonio Sunday to meet the Rampage with a 5:00 pm (mst) face-off at the SBC Center.
