Griffins Welcome Kinley to Blue Line

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday signed defenseman Cleve Kinley to an amateur tryout. A native of Powell River, British Columbia, Kinley recently finished his senior season as captain at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where he tallied nine points (3-6-9) in 31 games.
Kinley, 23, played four seasons as a River Hawk and was named to Hockey East's All-Rookie Team in 2003-04. He will be available to make his professional debut on Wednesday when the Griffins host the Iowa Stars at 7 p.m.
