Griffins Help Ring in $1,269.12 for Salvation Army

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - On Monday, eight members of the Grand Rapids Griffins took part in a three-hour bell-ringing competition for the Salvation Army, an event that raised a grand total of $1,269.12.

At the Byron Center Family Fare, the team consisting of David McIntyre, Petr Mrazek, Andrej Nestrasil and Riley Sheahan raised a total of $192.30, while the Kentwood Family Fare crew, comprised of Mitch Callahan, Landon Ferraro, Jeff Hoggan and Xavier Ouellet, edged out its competition and raised a total of $230.74. Matching contributions from an anonymous donor raised the ultimate total to $1,269.12.
