MILWAUKEE, WI - The Grand Rapids Griffins (22-10-5-2) lost to the Milwaukee Admirals (16-11-7-3) by a 2-1 score on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center. The loss is just the Griffins third regulation loss in 19 games away from Van Andel Arena this season.

The Admirals lit the lamp first when Pascal Trepanier's shot flew inside the right goal post and under Marc Lamothe's glove at 5:40 of the opening period. Konstantin Panov and Darren Haydar earned assists on the play.

Greg Classen scored the Admirals' second goal when he tapped in a stray rebound 3:05 into the final period. Panov earned his second assist on the goal.

With Lamothe on the bench for an extra attacker, Admirals defenseman Tomas Kloucek took an obstruction-holding penalty at 19:08 of the third period. Rob Collins beat Finley with a shot from the point at 19:16 of the third. Travis Richards and Hugo Boisvert assisted on the goal.

The remaining 44 seconds saw the Griffins furiously swarm the Admirals net, but were repeatedly turned aside by Finley. Finley has stopped 46 of 48 shots in his two games against the Griffins.

The Griffins return home to play the Syracuse Crunch on Friday and Saturday nights. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
