LOOKING AHEAD:

The East Division race heats up as Binghamton hosts Hartford tonight (7:05 ET). Since Dec. 6, the teams have gone in opposite directions: The Senators are 8-3-3-0, while the Wolf Pack are 4-8-3-0 and have fallen two points behind Binghamton in the standings. Hartford has controlled the special teams play in the teams' first two meetings, going 4-for-11 on the power play (36.4%) and a perfect 15-for-15 on the penalty kill. B-Sens forward Brad Smyth, the all-time leading scorer in Wolf Pack history, has eight points in his last eight AHL games.

Bridgeport kicks off a seven-game road trip in Philadelphia tonight (7:05 ET), trying to maintain its lead in the East Division. The Sound Tigers are winless in their last five on the road, and have dropped two of three meetings with the Phantoms this season. Philly has won four straight on home ice and seven of its last 11 overall, but still sits last in the four-team South Division. Rick DiPietro is 0-5-2 in his last seven decisions for Bridgeport.

Grand Rapids brings a 12-2-2-2 road record to Milwaukee tonight (7:12 CT, 8:12 ET), where the Admirals are 7-3-4-1 at the Bradley Center. The Griffins haven't lost away from home since Dec. 4 (6-0-1-0), and rookie Joey MacDonald is 6-0-0 with a 1.99 GAA on foreign ice. Jan Lasak is 2-0-1 since returning to Milwaukee from Nashville, and Darren Haydar has 3+4=7 pts. in his last four games.
