Green Homers Twice In Cutters Win

Williamsport would take an early 2-0 lead on a 1st inning two-run home run by third basemen Zach Green. It was Green's 7th home run of the season.

Staten Island would get their first run of the game in the second inning when Bubba Jones doubled home a run to make it a 2-1 deficit.

Green would strike again in the 3rd inning with his 2nd two-run home run of the game to make it 4-1. It was Green's 8th home run of the season. Green is now tied atop the New York-Penn League with the 8 home runs. He leads the Cutters with 28 RBI.

Staten Island would get on the board again in the 6th inning when Brandon Thomas drove a run home with an RBI ground out to make it a 4-2 deficit.

In the bottom half of the 6th, Williamsport would get the run back on a Samuel Hiciano solo home run. For Hiciano, it was his 3rd home run in as many nights, giving him 4 home runs in the season and make it 5-2 Cutters.

Williamsport would plate another run in the 7th inning on a wild pitch that allowed Gustavo Martinez to score from 3rd base and make it 6-2.

Williamsport would get another run in the 8th inning on another wild pitch that allowed Logan Pierce to score from 3rd base and make it 7-2.

Staten Island would get a solo home run in the top of the 9th from Mike Ford.
