Sioux Falls Canaries News Release

Sioux Falls, SD - The Canaries will be hosting a golf tournament to benefit the Canaries Care Foundation on Monday, June 19th at Bakker Crossing Golf Club. The tournament is a shotgun start, with the gun going off at 11am.

There are absolutely no requirements to enter the tournament. All players will be grouped into teams of four, and will be joined by a Canaries ball player, coach, or front office staff member.

"To have Jason and the guys down at Bakker Crossing hosting this year's tournament is not only a benefit to the Canaries Care Foundation, but also a great place for Canaries fans to play a quality round of golf with the Canaries," said Ned Gavlick, Assistant General Manager.

A four-person team can enter the tournament for only $250. The fee per individual is only $70. Individuals will be grouped at the tournament. Both the group and individual fees include a round of golf, the use of golf carts for each team and a meal for each person at the conclusion of the tournament. A cash bar will be available for all golfers.

Proceeds from the tournament will go to the Canaries Care Foundation. The Foundation will distribute the funds in support of local charities, such as the American Red Cross, Children's Home Society and the Make a Wish Foundation.

This is a one of a kind opportunity to spend an entire day with professional baseball players, coaches, and Canaries staff in a laid back and fun atmosphere. Come get the inside scoop on the Canaries from the ball players and coaches themselves!
