WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that right-handed pitcher William Jackel has been released.
Jackel had a 5.21 ERA and no record in 21 appearances for the Goldeyes.
Winnipeg has 21 players on its roster, including 11 pitchers and 10 position players.
The Goldeyes are back on the field this afternoon when they continue a four-game series with the St. Paul Saints. Winnipeg beat St. Paul 11-3 last night to move into a tie with the Saints for first place in the North Division. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
