Golden State Valkyries News Release
The Golden State Valkyries and JPMorganChase today announced a multi-year partnership, making the financial services company the first founding partner of the Valkyries. As part of the partnership, Chase Freedom will be the team's shield uniform partner, with the logo featured on the Valkyries home and road uniforms, beginning with the team's inaugural season in 2025.
"We are building the Valkyries with the intention of creating legacy on and off the court," said Valkyries President Jess Smith. "JPMorganChase has had alignment with us every step of the way in building a powerful, state-of-the-art franchise that inspires fandom, drives impact, and will compete for championships. This partnership enhances each of our goals with their expertise, care, and tenacity for driving culture through sport. In addition to being our inaugural Shield Uniform Partner, which will be represented on our players and fans, we look forward to driving impact through financial literacy programming alongside a focus on women-owned small businesses."
In advance of the Valkyries inaugural season in 2025, JPMorganChase will offer an exclusive inaugural season gift to all Valkyries fans who purchase their 2025 season tickets with a Chase debit or credit card. The Valkyries seat selection process will begin in the Fall. Additionally, throughout the Valkyries season, JPMorganChase will feature exclusive offers to enhance the fan experience for all Chase cardholders. Fans who wish to place a deposit to secure season tickets can do so at valkyries.com.
"JPMorganChase has been a longstanding supporter of female athletes and we are thrilled to partner with the Valkyries to help build a world-class organization that is going to push the game for athletes and fans," said JPMorganChase Chief Marketing Officer Carla Hassan. "We could not have scripted a better partnership, one that reinforces our commitment to advance and economically empower the Bay Area, expands on our work to drive financial literacy in the region, and helps us more deeply engage with our customers."
As part of the partnership, JPMorganChase and the Valkyries will collaborate on several Bay Area community initiatives that will have a direct positive impact on financial health, equity in the workplace, career growth, and women-owned small businesses. More than 7,000 JPMorganChase employees serve more than 3 million consumer and business customers in the region, and with a focus on career skills, small business expansion and entrepreneurship, financial health, and neighborhood revitalization, JPMorganChase is committed to helping build a stronger, more inclusive economy for generations to come.
Originating from Norse mythology, Valkyries are a host of warrior women who are fearless and unwavering - flying through air and sea alike. This brand is Golden State's modern interpretation of Valkyries: strong, bold, and fierce.
